Astana to carry out major event of 21st century on Dec 1-2 - Adviser to President Y.Yertysbayev
Adviser to the President of Kazakhstan Yermukhamet Yertysbayev has said it at a briefing to journalists before beginning of the Review Conference ahead of the OSCE Summit.
"Since 1999, the last OSCE Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, there were occurred many large accidents, beginning with the largest terrorist attack in New York in 2001 and a number of very serious local and regional conflicts at Eurasian continent. Over 11 years, in my opinion, there is appeared urgent necessity for all participating states to gather together. And it is good that they will meet here, in the Kazakh capital - Astana", Yermukhamet Yertysbayev said.
"Kazakhstan has a great deal to say to the international community", he added.
"The main event of not only outgoing year, but the beginning of the 21st century, will be held on December 1-2", he emphasized.
