Astana to host OSCE summit 2010 - MFA

sp;ASTANA.  November 20. KAZINFORM  /Gulnara Jandagulova/ Next year Astana will host a summit of the OCSE, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantin Zhigalov has informed at an academic symposium on improvement of state administration system.

"The last summit was held in 1999 in Istanbul (Turkey)", the Vice Minister reminded. "Although, in accordance with the rules the OSCE summits must be held once in two-three years", he noted.

The idea was supported by member countries of the Organization including France, Italy, Spain, turkey, Serbia, Estonia, Portugal etc.

"We will raise this issue at the Athens summit of the ministers of foreign affairs scheduled for early December", Zhigalov added.
