Astana to host XI Congress of Eurasian Association of Universities

ASTANA. March 8. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakh President will take part in the XI Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities devoted to the 15th anniversary of the idea of Eurasian Union that will be held in the Eurasian National Gumilyov University on March 10.

On March 29, 1994 President Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested the faculty of the Moscow State University creating the Eurasian Union. The idea was soon realized in form of real integration organization and continued within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community, Central Asian Cooperation Organization and Single Economic Space. The issues of development of higher education within the single economic space in the context of the Eurasian idea voiced by President Nursultan Nazarbayev will be discussed at the Congress. A press conference with the participation of President of the Eurasian Association of Universities, Rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University V. A. Sadovnichii and Rector of the Eurasian National Gumilyov University B. Zh. Abdraimov will take place within the Congress.
