Astana training range to become basic training area for CSTO disaster management structures
MOSCOW. March 11. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ The CSTO Permanent Council approved the proposal of the Kazakh side on giving "Astana - Rocky City" training range the status of the basic training range for preparation of the disaster management structures of the Organization member states.
As press secretary of the Organization Vladimir Zainetdinov informed, the decision was made at the session of the CSTO Permanent Council on March 10 in Moscow.
The draft Plan on priority measures on forming the basis of the coordinated informational policy on behalf of the CSTO was discussed as well. The Plan will be submitted to the intrastate coordination soon.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha and Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Herbert Salber took part in the session.
