Astana welcomes New Year 2025 with spectacular fireworks display
The New Year's fireworks display was organized with sponsorship funds and in compliance with all safety rules, Kazinform News Agency learned from the city mayor’s office.
The fireworks were launched at 00:00 from two points - the area near the Atyrau Bridge (the city embankment) and the Botanical Garden.
Over 50,000 people came to watch the launch of aproximately 2,500 fireworks from each location which lasted for about 3.5 minutes.
On top of that, the city residents and visitors were able to welcome the New Year 2025 enjoying festive concerts from Kazakhstani pop stars.
The concerts were organized in three locations - on the city square in front of the mayor’s office, on the territory of Kazakh Eli monument and in the area of EXPO 2017.
Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the New Year in a traditional address to the people of Kazakhstan
