Australia assesses damage as bushfires claim another life

SYDNEY. KAZINFORM Australia on Sunday was assessing the damage caused by bushfires that burned in the south of the country and claimed another life, bringing the death toll to 22 with hundreds of homes razed.

The states of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia are facing more than 200 fires fanned by Saturday's strong winds and temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, EFE-EPA reports.
