Australian Open 2025 kicks off at Melbourne Park

Four Kazakhstani tennis players are to represent the country at the Australian Open.

World No. 72 Alexander Shevchenko of Kazakhstan will step onto the court first against world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain in the first round. The match is scheduled for Monday, January 13, at 01:00 pm Astana time.

Alexander Bublik, Elena Rybakina and Yulia Putintseva will play their opening matches in the following days.

World No.6 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan will face Australian Emerson Jones, 16, in the first round.

World No. 25 Yulia Putintseva is to play against world No. 44 Elina Avanesyan of Armenia.

World No. 27 Alexander Bublik will clash with Francisco Cerundolo (ranked 31st) of Argentina.
