Author of Kazakh State Coat of Arms celebrates his 80th anniversary
ASTANA. April 26. KAZINFORM Today one of the authors of the Kazakh State Coat of Arms, the honored architect of the Kazakh USSR, laureate of state prize Shot-Aman Ualikhanov celebrates his 80th anniversary.
S. Ualikhanov is also the author of the Kenesary -Khan monument in Astana and Shakarim in Semey, and the chief of the creative team of the Independent monument authors' in Almaty.
The state symbols of independent Kazakhstan were approved June 4, 1992. The current coat of arms of sovereign Kazakhstan is the result of enormous effort and creative pursuit of two well-known architects: Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shot-Aman Ualihanov. 245 projects and 67descriptions of the emblem of the future took part in the competition .
