Auto team 'Astana' ready to go for trophy of rally raid 'Dakar-2011'

ALMATY. October 30. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilinskaya/ Auto team 'Astana' is ready to go for the trophy of the rally raid 'Dakar-2011'. Right after farewell ceremony that was organized in Almaty to see off the team, the crew and their KAMAZ will start their way to 'Dakar-2011' which routs Argentina-Chile this year.

'We are ready physically, mentally and technically to do our best at 'Dakar-2011'. First of all we have enough experience, secondly we have a very good car and the most important is belief in success', pilot and team leader Arthur Ardavichus said.

According to president of Kazakhstan Motorsport Federation Bolat Aktaev participation in 'Dakar-2011' is a symbolic event for the country. It means that Kazakhstan is ready to compete in high-tech sports. 'Astana' is an underdog at the rally but it is strong and experienced team. We believe in our team and ask all Kazakhstanis to support it in the competition with the best teams of motorsport in the world', he said.
