AZAL cancels Baku-Kazan flight
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has canceled the Baku-Kazan-Baku flight scheduled for January 8, 2025. This decision was made due to the closure of airspace over Kazan as a result of the "Kovyor" plan, AZERTAC reports.
Flight safety is a priority for AZAL and the airline strictly adheres to international standards.
Passengers of the canceled flight were offerred to contact the airline's call center for further information via email at callcenter@azal.az.
AZAL continues to monitor the current situation closely and will inform passengers about any changes.
Earlier it was reported that the read-out data from the flight recorders of the AZAL plane crashed near Kazakh city Aktau is to be examined soon in Astana.
The Azerbaijan Airlines plane which was flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau, Mangistau region, on December 25. The plane was carrying 67 people including 5 crew members. 38 people died and 29 survived as a result of the tragedy. Among the victims were six nationals of Kazakhstan.
