AZAL plane crash: Last three patients sent to Azerbaijan
Three citizens of Azerbaijan, suffered in the plane crash near Aktau, were safely taken to the airport with the support of rescuers of the Kazakh Emergency Ministry, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Leila Omarova, Muslimat Siradzhova and Khafizat Khalayeva were transported to their home country by a special aircraft, as their condition has stabilized.
As Mangistau region’s administration informed, all 29 survivors of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash were discharged from hospital and returned home.
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting regarding the crash and commended the high level of rescue operations conducted. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanked Kazakhstan for saving those injured in the accident, noting that Kazakhstani rescuers risked their lives during the operation.
