Azerbaijan Airlines plane suffered damage outside Kazakhstan’s airspace, Deputy Prime Minister
Azerbaijan Airlines’ plane that crashed near the city of Aktau on December 25 suffered damage outside the airspace of Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev, who heads the governmental commission, told Tengrinews.kz agency.
Experts say the plane was damaged outside the airspace of Kazakhstan. Various expertise is underway. Earlier medical-legal, histological, and DNA analyses were commissioned, he added.
A comprehensive traceability, ballistic, and explosives expertise will be fulfilled to determine when the explosion was and what caused the explosion. The expertise should give us clear answers, he said.
Bozumbayev said that not all the bodies have been yet identified.
As earlier reported, on December 25, an Azerbaijan Airlines plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near Aktau. There were 67 people on board the crashed plane, including five crew members. As a result of the tragedy near Aktau, 38 people died, including all 6 citizens of Kazakhstan, leaving 29 survivors.
