Azerbaijan Ambassador to Kazakhstan spoke for strengthening bilateral coop

The Kazakh Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on appointment and wished success in his diplomatic mission.

Having noted commonality of positions on a wide range of problems of international policy, active development of economic cooperation and political ties, K. Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan was interested in strengthening bilateral relations with Azerbaijan.

The Kazakh Senate Chairman spoke for activation of interparliamentary interaction and confirmed his invitation to Chairman of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at any convenient time.

K. Tokayev thanked Azerbaijani side for support of Kazakhstan's initiatives during the OSCE chairmanship and for significant contribution to the development of the Turkic-speaking countries Parliamentary Assembly established on the initiative of the Kazakh President.

The Speaker noted also fruitful cooperation of the parliamentarians within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

Next year Kazakhstan will chair the Organization of Islamic Conference which, as K. Tokayev said, "is a reason of active interaction of two countries within the Organization".

Ambassador Z. Hashimov extended all best wishes to the Chairman of the Kazakh Senate from his Azerbaijani counterpart and spoke for further strengthening of bilateral relations between two brotherly nations.
