Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan move to new level of cooperation - Aida Balayeva
Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva held a number of meetings in Baku as part of Days of Kazakhstan Culture ongoing in Azerbaijan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The meetings discussed the prospects for cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.
One of the key meetings was held with Hikmet Hajiyev, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, attended also by Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel.
Our President attaches special importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan, which is proved by mutual visits of the heads of state. Our partnership develops at a high level and covers all spheres. This is related to a common cultural heritage and fraternal ties based on commonality of language, religion, rituals and traditions, said Aida Balayeva.
She reminded of construction of the Children’s Creativity Center named after Kurmangazy in Fizuli at the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
This is the gift to Azerbaijani people from Kazakhstan, embodying friendship and mutual support. I am confident that it will become a symbol of fraternal relations between the two countries, she added.
Aida Balayeva backed Hikmet Hajiyev’s initiative to hold an international media forum.
In 2024, Kazakhstan will hold the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan.
