Azerbaijani journalists express gratitude to Kazakhstanis

Journalists from the prominent Azerbaijani Minval Politika news agency expressed their gratitude to Kazakh rescuers for their efforts in addressing the aftermath of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane crash in Aktau, Kazinform News Agency reports.

“Special attention should be paid to the high professionalism of Kazakhstani rescue services and doctors. All works are carried out promptly. Kazakhstani people are donating blood en masse! We thank them for their efforts. Thank you, Kazakhstan,” the official Telegram channel of the Azerbaijani news agency said.

Azerbaijani journalist and blogger Hamid Hamidov also expressed gratitude to the Kazakhstanis who donate blood for the survivors.

“Kazakh brothers from Aktau stand in line to donate blood for survivors of the plane crash. Thank you!” he wrote on his Facebook page.

On Wednesday, December 25, the Embraer 190 aircraft, operating Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed 3 kilometers from the city of Aktau. A total of 69 people including 5 crew members were onboard, 29 of which were rushed to hospitals.

Earlier it was reported that residents of Astana are lining up at the local Blood Center to donate blood for patients who survived the plane crash near Aktau.

It was earlier reported that Kazakhstanis have left flowers at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Astana.
