Azia Avto to make car according to Euro-4 and Euro-5 emission standards

ALMATY. July 22. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's car assembly plant Azia Avto JSC starts to make cars based on the ecological standards Euro-4 and Euro-5, the press service of the company informed.

More than a half of plants' models meet the criteria of the Customs Union technical regulations. The total investments into the modernization of the plant's production capacity amounted to KZT 1.18 billion.

The same time the Euro-3 standard production line is removed from modification. Improving emission standards imposed on the production car, Kazakhstan's largest producer spends well ahead of schedule, approved by the Government.

According to Azia Avto President Yerik Sagymbayev, the Kazakh Government defined terms of the transition to new standards in 2007. So, Kazakhstan's car makers had enough time to prepare the production capacity.

In addtion, Mr. Sagymbayev noted the transition to Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards will not affect the Azia Avto cars' prices.
