Bad weather traps motorists in Zhambyl region

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - A dozen of motorists were stranded by bad weather conditions on the Almaty-Tashkent highway in Zhambyl region on Sunday, March 29.

12 people, including 3 children, were trapped in their cars by heavy snowfall, poor visibility and black ice. Rescuers evacuated them to the city of Taraz. Meteorologists predict that wind with gusts up to 23-30 meters per second will batter Zhambyl region today. Mercury will drop to -3,-8°C at night.
