Baku marks Independence Day of Kazakhstan
The Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan held a reception dated to the Independence Day of Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Officials, deputies of the parliament of Azerbaijan, ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations, well-known workers of science, culture and arts, experts of leading think tanks, mass media and Kazakhstanis staying in Azerbaijan attended the solemn event.
In hew welcoming speech Kazakh Ambassador Alim Bayel focused on the main attainments of Kazakhstan achieved over the years of independence. He drew attention to successful cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in political, economic, transport and logistics as well as defense sectors.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov congratulated Kazakhstan on the Independence Day. Deputy Culture Minister Farid Jafarov said the Culture Days of Kazakhstan held in Baku were a success.
Those present congratulated recently appointed president of the International Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage Aktoty Raimkulova and thanked the ex-president of the fund, Gunay Efendiyeva, for her work.
A photo exhibition dedicated to Kazakhstan was organized as part of the event.
