Bavaria expands economic coop with Kazakhstan

MAGDEBURG. November 24. KAZINFORM /Yuliya Chernova/ On January 21 Kazakhstan Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov made a working visit to the Federal land of Bavaria, Kazinform has learnt from the Embassy?s press service.

Within the visit the Ambassador had a meeting with Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technologies of the land Martin Zeil during which the parties exchanged opinions on the state of trade-economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bavaria and discussed prospects of their further development. Minister Zeil noted impressive development of Kazakhstan and positively estimated the Government?s measures on overcoming the consequences of the global economic crisis. Mr.Zeil pointed out that further diversification of the Kazakhstan economy would provide favorable conditions for the Bavarian companies. ?Kazakhstan is the owner of large reserves of natural resources and somehow depends on this sector of economy. The aim of the Kazakh Government is extension of the economic basis of the country. In this connection Bavaria can become a reliable partner for Kazakhstan economy suggesting its up-to-date technologies in engineering and foodstuffs processing fields?, he said. Following up the meeting the parties reached an agreement on arrangement of a visit of the State Secretary of the Ministry to Kazakhstan and on organization of a business forum with the participation of Bavarian businessmen within the visit.
