“Be Free!” Campaign to be held in Almaty

The conference was organized by Birlik Initiative Group and Union of Crisis Centers. According to member of the Initiative Group Tatyana Zavyalova despite taken measures the human trafficking in our country has tendency to be increased. The principal forms of the human trafficking are labor and sexual exploitation, organ transplantation, illegal adoption, forced begging and surrogacy.

Birlik Initiative Group held a sociological research to reveal the rate of population awareness on this issue. The most part of respondents - 70 per cent admit existence of this phenomenon and believe it was followed by unemployment, low income of population, corruption and indifference of society.

According to T. Zavyalova Birlik Group will hold "Be Free!" civil campaign scheduled on August, 23 under the aegis of the city akimat. Kazakhstani singers are expected to take part in the campaign.
