Beijing to bolster global confidence inChinese economy at Davos forum

BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Beijing plans to bolster international confidence in the Chinese economy and in the economic growth of developing countries at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong said Friday.

"We will do our best to bolster confidence in Chinese economy and prospects of economic growth of the developing countries, so that the international community would better understand and increase the support to China's efforts to deepen economic reforms," he said at a press conference. According to the vice foreign minister, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will deliver three statements at the forum and will speak about the current situation in the global economy, economic development and structural reforms in the country, Sputnik reported. In 2014, China, whose share of the global economy is 27.8 percent, has launched a series of structural economic, political, cultural and ecological reforms in the country aiming to promote innovation and sustainable growth. The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, beginning on January 21, will host some 2,500 politicians, central bankers and religious leaders to discuss the theme of this year's meeting "The New Global Context." German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and officials from other countries are expected to be in attendance.
