Belarus backed and will back Kazakhstan's initiatives - Chairman of House of Representatives of Belarus National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko

MINSK. December 20. KAZINFORM /Aituar Mamlin/ Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament, Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko within a working visit of the Kazakh Parliamentary delegation to Minsk.

As earlier reported, K. Tokayev participated in monitoring of the presidential elections in Belarus held December 19.

"Participation in observation and objective evaluation of the elections by such authoritative organization as the OSCE is very important for the Belarusian side", Vladimir Andreichenko said in his welcoming speech.

Within the meeting the parties focused also on the prospects of further development of multilateral Kazakh-Belarusian cooperation, improvement of the regulatory-legal framework of the Customs Union and strengthening the ties between the two countries' parliaments.

"The Republic of Belarus has always backed and will back Kazakhstan's constructive initiatives", Vladimir Andreichenko added.
