Belarus would welcome Customs Union expansion - 1st Vise Premier of Belarus
MOSCOW. March 15. KAZINFORM Belarus would welcome the expansion of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space (SES) primarily with CIS member states, First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko said when speaking at the CIS economic forum in Moscow on 15 March,Kazinform gas learnt from BelTA.
Vladimir Semashko stressed that the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space offers economic entities "a qualitatively new level of favorable conditions than other post-Soviet integration groups." "The SES is not only a free trade area. It offers the common customs tariff, common competition rules, the conditions for the free movement of capital and labor," he said. He called particularly important the fact that all decisions in the SES and the Customs Union are made taking into account the interests of all member states on the basis of consensus.
