Belarusian Innovation Week kicks off in Minsk
Partaking in the event are 15 countries. The participants of the forum are outstanding scientists, representatives of government bodies and businessmen from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Venezuela, India, China, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany and other states.
The event will feature a research-to-practice conference "Belarus' innovation development strategy for 2011-2015", the 3rd Belarusian Innovation Forum, the 2nd Youth Innovation Forum. The program of the Innovation Week has a number of international forums including the Belarusian-Russian innovation conference, an array of bilateral sci-tech forums with India, Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Iran, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and the EU countries.
One of the highlights will be a matchmaking session where Belarusian specialists are supposed to discuss new joint international projects with investors.
The forum participants are expected to discuss the progress made in the implementation of Belarus' innovation development program 2011-2015, define mechanisms of enhancing the efficiency of the national innovation system, outline ways to promote innovation entrepreneurship and involve the youth in the processes of innovation development.
The organizers of the Belarusian Innovation Week are the State Science and Technology Committee, the National Academy of Sciences, the High-Tech Park, the Minsk City Hall, the National Technologies Transfer Center, the Belarusian Innovation Fund of the Education Ministry, the Foreign and Industry Ministries, the Business Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, large companies of Belarus.
