MINSK. KAZINFORM - Personnel of a peacemaking company of the 103rd Guards Independent Mobile Brigade from Belarus have arrived at the Kant airfield in Kyrgyzstan to take part in the Indestructible Brotherhood 2014 exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The exercise is scheduled to begin on 29 July and will last through 1 August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry's newspaper Vo Slavu Rodiny.

Military personnel from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan have also arrived in Kyrgyzstan.

The Indestructible Brotherhood 2014 exercise is an open exercise, therefore, representatives of international and regional organizations have been invited to observe it. The exercise will be held in several stages. During the first stage the exercise will be controlled by the CSTO United Staff while the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan will control the exercise during the second and third stages. The peacemaking personnel will have to carry out missions in hard-to-reach mountainous areas, including missions to protect important state installations, counteract mass riots, and convoy humanitarian cargoes, BelTA reports.

It is the third time such an exercise has been arranged since the CSTO leaders signed the agreement on peacemaking efforts. The previous exercises involving peacemaking personnel of the CSTO member states took place in Kazakhstan in 2012 and in Russia in 2013.
