Belarusian President arrives in Kazakhstan for CSTO summit
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Kazakhstan for a working visit, Kazinform News Agency cites Belta.
The Belarusian leader is expected to take part in a regular meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council on November 28 in Astana.
The heads of state of the CSTO member countries are expected to exchange views on the international and regional situation, its impact on the security of the CSTO countries as well as discuss the outcomes of cooperation and prospects of further promotion of collective security.
Following the summit, the sides are to sign a number of documents, including a statement on the occasion of the upcoming 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The Kazakh capital of Astana is to host a joint meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers and Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils on November 28.
To note, Russian leader Valdimir Putin is paying a two-day visit to Astana.
