Belgia interested in cooperation with N Kazakhstan region entrepreneurs

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM - Akim of North Kazakhstan region Erik Sultanov has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belgium to Kazakhstan Michelle Petermans.

The round table discussed issues of mutual cooperation, including in the field of agriculture and energy-saving technologies. North Kazakhstan manufacturers cooperate with Belgian businessmen for the past few years. Trade turnover in 2013 amounted to nearly USD 9 million including export - USD 4.8 million. One of the goods for export to Belgium is bast fiber. Michelle Petermans and Erik Sultanov stressed the importance of mutual partnership. The guests noted that the Belgian side, in particular, is interested in cooperation with the North Kazakhstan region in the field of agriculture and energy-saving technologies. At the end of the talks Erik Sultanov gave the guest a picture depicting the beautiful nature of the region. Michelle Petermans, in turn, handed Erik Sultanov a book.
