Berlin marks Kazakhstan's Independence Day

BERLIN.  December 11. KAZINFORM  /Yerzhan Ospanov/ A ceremonial reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Kazakhstan was held Thursday at the House of World Cultures in Berlin. Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev took part in it.

Welcoming the attendees, K. Saudabayev said: "I am glad to mark the 18th anniversary of our independence together with our German friends here. Over these years Kazakhstan has become a member of many authoritative international organizations and has taken a worthy place in the global community. The initiatives of our country on abolition of the nuclear arsenal, strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-faith harmony, development of regional cooperation have found support".

"On the way to our goals we felt the support of our foreign partners, in particular, your support. Let me express gratitude to your country for everything you have done for Kazakhstan and hope for closer cooperation in future", the Kazakh guest concluded.
