Bilateral negotiations on Kazakhstan?s joining WTO over in Delhi
ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM – Bilateral technical negotiations with India on the issue of access of goods and service to Kazakhstan?s market in the context of Kazakhstan?s accession to the WTO ended in Delhi; Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA?s press service.
According to Vice Minister of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan Zhanar Aitzhanova who headed the Kazakh delegation, the technical negotiates finished on mutually beneficial basis. The parties also discussed an opportunity of signing an agreement on protection of geographical indications of Indian goods and a Memo of mutual understanding on technical barriers in trade and use of sanitary and phytosanitary measures.
Signing of the Protocol on termination of bilateral negotiations is expected to take place within the forthcoming state visit of Kazakh President to India.
The Republic of India is one of four states with which Kazakhstan ends negotiations on accession to the WTO.
