Bishkek set to welcome 11th Summit of Organization of Turkic States
The regular 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Bishkek on Nov. 6, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Muratbek Azymbakiev said, Kabar reports.
He noted that the theme of the upcoming Summit is “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future and Security for All”.
“Leaders of the countries will discuss further development of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the OTS, make decisions on topical issues of the current agenda of the Organization, as well as sign a number of multilateral documents, including the final Declaration of the Summit.
As a result of the Summit, the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States for 2025 will pass to the Kyrgyz Republic,” Azymbakiev added.
He also stressed that for the period of the upcoming chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization it is planned to carry out a number of activities to strengthen ties between the member states, create new opportunities for economic growth and improve living standards in the region.
The Summit will be attended by heads of five member states of the Organization –Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as leaders of observer countries of the Organization.
