Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdiev held a meeting in Bishkek on March 24 aimed at preventing crimes and acts of violence using weapons in places of public recreation for citizens, Kabar reports.

The meeting was attended by owners, administrators of shopping centers and entertainment complexes and representatives of private security companies.

During the discussion, Nurbek Abdiev said that one of the most important issues of our time is the effective counteraction to terrorist activities. Terrorism is improving, changing forms and methods, and becoming more and more sophisticated. To prevent the possibility of committing crimes and acts of violence with the use of weapons in shopping centers, institutions and organizations, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs called on owners and administrators to carry out some measures:

- tightening of access control at the entrance and entry into the territory of facilities,

- installation of alarm systems, audio and video recording, panic buttons,

- daily walk-throughs of premises and inspection of areas where hazardous substances are concentrated for the timely detection of explosive devices or suspicious objects,
