Bitter cold to grip Kazakhstan at the start of the week
At the beginning of the week, most of Kazakhstan will stay under the impact of the cyclone and atmospheric fronts caused by it, Kazinform News Agency reports via Kazhydromet.
According to the national weather service, heavy snowfall will hit north of Kazakhstan December 6. Black ice and snow storm are forecast there as well.
No precipitation is predicted for southern and southeastern regions.
The intrusion of a cold northwestern anticyclone on December 7 will bring no precipitation and sharp decrease in temperatures across the country. The mercury is expected to dip to -10-28°C at night in western, central and eastern regions, and to -25-33°C in northwestern and northern parts. In southern regions, temperatures will drop to -5-13°C.
Fog and strong wind are forecast across the country as well.
