Blowing snow and fog to blanket southern Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Most regions of Kazakhstan will enjoy weather without precipitation today, January 29. However, according to Kazhydromet, the south and south-west of the country will be hit by snow, blizzard, fog and bleak wind.

In particular, wind with gusts up to 28 meters per second is expected in Almaty region. Fog and blowing snow will blanket Zhambyl region. South Kazakhstan region will be steeped in fog as well. Stiff wind will torment Atyrau, North Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and East Kazakhstan regions. Meteorologists predict fog and ice slick in Mangystau region.
