Bodies of Superjet 100 crash victims evacuated from Mt Salak
Russian blogger Sergei Dolya who took part in the demonstration tour of the Russian plane and is following the progress of the search operation in Jakarta, reported that "four containers with the remains of the crash victims' bodies have already been delivered today." "They are immediately taken to a military hospital for identification," Dolya writes in his Twitter blog.
On Friday, before the onset of darkness, the bodies of 12 people who were killed in the crash were evacuated from Mount Salak, located in the vicinity of Jakarta.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliner crashed during a demonstration flight. It carried 45 people, including eight Russian citizens. The crash site was spotted near the capital of Indonesia, in rough terrain on the slopes of Mount Salak at an altitude of 1.5 kilometres.
