Bolashak Presidential Scholarship turns 20: Results are still to come
On this occasion the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University has hosted today a scientific and practical conference "Role of the Bolashak Scholarship in the human resources development of the country".
Over the past 20 years, 5 670 students have been trained at 200 world's best universities under approximately 70 majors. President of "Center for International Programs" Sayasat Nurbek told journalists "currently Bolashakers are highly qualified specialists, they are the elite of the Kazakhstani labor market."
"Along with positive results, the scholarship scheme has its flaws," Mr. Nurbek added. However, in his words, Bolashak is the best investment for the future. It does not bring immediate results, but it will affect the country in the years to come.
