Border patrol foil jade smuggling attempt

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Khorgos checkpoint border patrol seized 40 jade stones weighing about 11 and detained a 30-year-old woman travelling from Kazakhstan to China.

They found stones of red color, allegedly, jade in her hand luggage, the press service of the Frontier Service of the Kazakh National Security Committee said. The investigation is underway.
