URALSK. March 1. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Both Kazakhstan and Russia are interested in sooner WTO accession. First Deputy Prime Ministers of the two states Igor Shuvalov and Umirzak Shukeyev made it public at the briefing in Uralsk.

"Russia is interested in Kazakhstan's WTO accession as soon as possible. It would be great if all three CU member states accessed the WTO," I.Shuvalov said.

"However, we faced a number of technical difficulties. In this regard we agreed that our negotiating group on the WTO accession would continue its work in order not to slow down this process," he explained.

U.Shukeyev, in his turn, noted that due to establishment of the CU many questions about coordinating the WTO and CU accession arose.

"Today we have resolved all the issues. Kazakhstan is interested in Russia's WTO accession as well," U.Shukeyev said.
