Both visits - to Brussels and Paris - of special importance for Kazakhstan: N.Nazarbayev

PARIS. October 28. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ The President of Kazakhstan accomplished his official visit to France. N.Nazarbayev made a statement to the press upon the results of the visit.

"We accomplished our visits to Brussels and France. Both of these visits were very important and necessary for our country. The agreements on advanced partnership between Kazakhstan and the European Union and on support of our accession to the WTO were signed in Brussels. I would like to emphasize the importance of our visit to France which celebrates the 20^th anniversary of the Paris Charter for a New Europe", the President said.

As the Head of the State noted, the economic contacts of Kazakhstan and France reached a new level. "We signed economic agreements between our businessmen to the amount of USD 2 bln. The most important is that we agreed to transfer technologies and innovations from France in such spheres as alternative energy and use of solar energy", N.Nazarbayev noted.

Agreements on construction of electric locomotives plant in Astana and assembling and production of helicopters as well as other important projects for implementation of the industrial-innovative program of our country were reached as well.

Besides, the Head of the State emphasized the importance of holding the OSCE Summit in Astana. "The European Leaders trust Kazakhstan and approve the Summit conduction. It is a great responsibility for us to host this major event worthily", the President said.
