Boxer Zhankosh Turarov skyrockets in world rating after dual-belt win

Kazakhstani boxer Zhankosh Turarov (28-0, 20 KO) skyrocketed in the Boxrec.com website rating after his unblemished win over Japanese Akihiro Kondo (37-12-2, 21 КО) at the boxing evening in Almaty, Kazinform News Agency reports via Sports.kz.

Turarov defeated Kondo by a unanimous decision of judges and defended his IBO World Super Light title. He also gained WBA Gold World Super Light title.

This triumph marked his 28th professional win and made the Kazakh boxer climb up in the BoxRec rating from the 39^th to the 28^th line.

In 2023, Zhankosh Turarov held two bouts. Earlier he defeated Mexican fighter Alejandro “El Tocino” Meneses (16-6, 9 KO) with a technical knockout in the 10^th round.
