BP Azerbaijan to build new platform at Shah Deniz gas condensate field

bp will build a new platform at the Shah Deniz gas condensate field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Tamam Bayatly, Head of the bp Azerbaijan Press Office, told journalists, Azertac reports. 

“The platform will operate in a fully autonomous mode. Low-pressure gas from the Alpha and Bravo platforms will be collected here and, transported to the Sangachal terminal following the pressure boost," she emphasized.

The project for the construction of the new platform will be presented to the public next week, and the final financial decision will be made this year.

Earlier it was reported that Azerbaijan's gas exports rose by 5.8% in 2024.
