Breaking news: Majilismen appealed to Head of State for early re-election of Majilis deputies
TANA. November 10. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "53 deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan have appealed to President Nursultan Nazarbayev for early resignation of the deputies of the Majilis and maslikhats," Nurtai Sabilyanov told a press conference in the Majilis.
"A group of the Majilismen took such a decision owing to the need of renovation of the composition of the Parliament for a score of reasons," he added. In particular, this year Kazakhstan will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its independence and the Kazakh society expects formation as a minimum of a bipartite parliament. Besides, the country implements a large-scale Forced Industrial and Innovation Development Programme which requires the relevant legislative groundwork."
