Briefing on Kazakhstan Constitution Day held in Hong Kong
HONG KONG. August 30. KAZINFORM. /Talgat Baimukhambetov/ On the eve of the Kazakhstan Constitution Day General Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a briefing with participation of media, business circles of Hong Kong, citizens of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
Consul General Zhoshikhan Kyraubayev noted that the Constitution adopted by the nationwide referendum on August 30, 1995 proclaimed the principle of separation of powers providing stability, efficient functioning and interaction of legislative, executive and judicial powers. Over that period the state has completed creation of statehood, laid the foundation of effective economy, ensured freedom of speech, competitiveness and political pluralism.
The diplomat added that in 2007 the country held the constitutional reform enabling to promote political modernization of Kazakhstan.
