Budapest holds reception on Kazakhstan Independence Day

ASTANA. December 16. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy in Budapest has organized a reception on the 18th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence with participation of the heads of the Hungarian ministries and departments, parliamentarians of the National Assembly, representatives of the public-political, cultural and business circles, creative intelligentsia, diplomatic corps and Kazakh Diaspora; the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.

Kazakh Ambassador Rashid Ibrayev informed of public-political, economic reforms in the country, results of the OSCE Foreign Ministries' Council in Athens, goals and priorities of Kazakhstan's activity on the post of the OSCE chairman. The Kazakh diplomat noted that the international community gave positive estimation to the country's achievements. This historical event is recognition of foreign policy course conducted by President N.Nazarbayev.

The Kazakh Ambassador told about the activity of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, CICA, implementation of the "Path to Europe" program, participation of our country in the SCO, preparation for the WTO accession and other aspects of the Kazakh diplomacy.

Touching upon relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary, R.Ibrayev noted that a constructive dialog was tuned up between the two countries and a level of bilateral cooperation is supported. T5his year was a witness of the contacts activation in all spheres.

In the course of the reception representatives of the Hungarian political establishment and diplomatic corps directed their congratulations to the Head of the State and the Kazakh people on the Independence day and on the country's election for the post of the OSCE chairman in 2010.
