Bulgarian MEP expresses support for ongoing reforms in Kazakhstan

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev held a bilateral meeting with member of the European Parliament from Bulgaria Andrey Novakov, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh MFA.

During the meeting the Kazakh diplomat acquainted the European Parliament member with the latest transformations in the country’s political system and the results of the electoral period last year. In addition, ambassador Temirbayev informed about the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Bulgarian and Kazakh-European relations as well as plans for their further deepening.

In turn, Novakov welcomed the ongoing reforms, noting that they reflect the real desire of Kazakhstan to move along the democratic path of development.

Additionally, special attention was given to the content of the January interview with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, focusing on the issues of domestic and foreign policy, socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, construction of a nuclear power plant, and other relevant topics.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all the issues identified during the meeting.
