Bundestag deputies were presented Kazakhstani model of interethnic tolerance

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Palace of Peace and Accord has hosted a meeting of the Deputy Chairman - Head of the Secretariat of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov and the members of the Bundestag Federal Republic of Germany Hartmut Koschyk and Henry Tsertik.

Y.Tugzhanov informed the foreign guests about the history, constitutional status, mandate and activities of the Assembly aimed at strengthening inter-ethnic tolerance and social accord. During the round table the members of the German Bundestag have been presented Kazakhstan's model of interethnic tolerance and social accord, says the press release of the Assembly. Y.Tugzhanov noted that the Presidential Decree declared 2015 the Year of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. In addition, he invited the guests to participate in the XXІI session of the Assembly. Member of the German Bundestag, the German Federal Government Commissioner for immigrants and ethnic minorities, Hartmut Koschyk highlighted the positive experience of Kazakhstan in ensuring inter-ethnic accord, and stressed the need to strengthen the work of the Kazakh-German Intergovernmental Commission on the issue related to ethnic Germans living in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
