Bus crash kills 20 in Peru

LIMA. February 26. KAZINFORM At least 20 people died Friday after a bus fell off a highway in mountainous areas near the Peruvian capital, police said. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

The bus went off the road and fell down a cliff, as it tried to avoid a trailer coming in the wrong line, the Peruvian National Police (PNP) said in a statement.

It is unclear how many people were on the bus but local hospitals said they received some injured survivors. The rescue operation was disrupted by the diffcult geographical conditions of the crash site. Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com
