Cambodia and Thailand open hostilities

"The opponents are exchanging artillery strikes and gunfire," a Cambodian government spokesman said on Friday. A shootout in the area of the disputed temple of Preah Vihear began at 14:00, local time. A report said two Cambodian servicemen had been killed; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
