Canada, Kazakhstan join forces in training oil & gas experts
The new state-of-the-art facility offers free of charge courses in English by foreign and local trainers. The course leavers will gain first-hand experience to work at the most complex oil & gas projects both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
At the opening ceremony, deputy governor of the region Shyngys Mukan called the new center "unique' and not because it had been created on the initiative of the Head of State. "It uses brand new academic programs developed in association with SAITPolytechnic, our Canadian partner," he noted.
The first intake of students numbers 100 people. 700 students are expected to be enrolled annually by the center. Upon completion, they will get dual Kazakh-Canadian diplomas.
"These diplomas will allow our graduates to carve their careers in the oil & gas industry in Kazakhstan and outside the country," said Eldana Sadvakasova, CEO of Kasipkor Holding.
