Canada to send about 1,000 doses of Ebola vaccine to Africa
The Minister pointed out in a statement circulated here that this refers to experimental medicinal preparations developed in one of state-run laboratories. She said the Canadian government intends to do everything possible to render support to its foreign partners through the provision of medical personnel to contain the epidemic, the allocation of financial resources, and dispatch of a Canadian experimental vaccine. At a recent session of the WHO committee of experts, specialists arrived at a conclusion that in order to combat the disease, of which more than 1,000 people have died in West Africa since December last year, it is ethical to use medicinal preparations which have not yet passed through clinical research, that is they have not been tested on humans, ITAR-TASS reported.
