Canadian David Lemieux ready to fight Gennady Golovkin
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Canadian boxer David Lemieux is ready to fight WBA/IBO/WBC-Interim middleweight champion Gennady ‘GGG' Golovkin, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
"I would love to fight him [Gennady Golovkin]. It would be a very good fight with him, but there is a lot of different middleweights also, but whoever best deal is what I'm looking for right now, if Gennady Golovkin is gonna have the best deal then for sure I would love to fight him," Lemieux told in an interview to one of the radio channels. Lemieux made his stunning HBO debut last December by beating Gabe Rosado. Golovkin has a long-term deal with HBO and a bout with Lemieux seems inevitable if the two boxers continue to show their best results and win. Golovkin will fight Martin Murray this coming Saturday night in Monaco. The winner will become the mandatory challenger to WBC middleweight Miguel Cotto.
